{"id":43,"date":"2007-02-09T07:05:11","date_gmt":"2007-02-09T05:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mlab.uiah.fi\/~lily\/blog\/?p=43"},"modified":"2007-02-09T07:05:11","modified_gmt":"2007-02-09T05:05:11","slug":"a-space-for-storytelling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sysrep.aalto.fi\/lilydiaz\/2007\/02\/09\/a-space-for-storytelling\/","title":{"rendered":"A space for storytelling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity of attending the <a href=\"http:\/\/craftwww.epfl.ch\/events\/alpine\/\">Alpine-Rendevouz<\/a> held at the village of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.villars.ch\/en\/navpage-MapsVG.html\">Villars<\/a> in Switzerland. The meeting was a combination of workshops and doctoral schools organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noe-kaleidoscope.org\/pub\/\">Kaleidscope network of excellence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My attendance was motivated by an invitation to participate in a workshop about the Classroom of the Future, led by Kati M\u00e4kitalo-Siegel and Frederick Kaplan. Aside from giving presentations on our topics&#8211;mine was about Cultural Heritage in the Curriculum, Case Study Exploring Carta Marina&#8211;we had an opportunity to work on a design for the Classroom of the Future.<\/p>\n<p>I proposed to my colleagues that we should design a space for the sole purpose of telling stories. Here is a picture of our final design, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noe-kaleidoscope.org\/pub\/lastnews\/default-0-read1279-display\">Storytelling Room (the second from top)<\/a>, as reported in the Kaleidoscope network news.
